Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Unemploid Chrome extension, website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Unemploid (“Unemploid”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Unemploid is an AI-assisted career tool that helps you tailor your résumé to job postings, import and edit résumé documents, parse relevant keywords, track a match score, and practice interview answers. Features and limits may change as the Service evolves, particularly during the beta period.

2. Accounts

To use most features you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information and keeping it up to date.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose, including misrepresenting your qualifications or identity.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the Service.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that infringes others’ rights.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
• Use the Service to violate the terms of any job platform you access it alongside.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the résumé content, documents, and other materials you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant Unemploid a limited license to process, store, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, sending job-posting and résumé text to our AI gateway to generate a result. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not sell it.

5. AI-generated output

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, rewrites, transcriptions, and analyses (“Output”). Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all Output before relying on or submitting it. Unemploid does not guarantee any particular job outcome, interview, or hiring result. The Service does not provide legal, financial, or professional career advice.

6. Plans, billing & subscriptions

The Service offers a free tier and a paid tier:

• Free Beta — provided at no cost and subject to usage limits (for example, a daily cap on AI requests). Limits may change.
• Premium Pro — a paid subscription (currently US $18.90 per month) that removes the daily limit and adds priority processing. Paid features may be introduced during or after the beta.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Unemploid and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal job-search purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service operates alongside third-party platforms (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job sites) and relies on providers including Supabase and Stripe. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Output will be accurate or lead to any employment outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unemploid and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Unemploid operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
